Information for solicitors and executors

If you are administering a gift in Will that has been left to WWT, our Legacy Team are on hand to help with any questions you may have.

Please note, all legacy administration is dealt with by our Legacy Team, based at our Slimbridge Centre in Gloucestershire. If the gift is restricted to a particular WWT centre, the Legacy Team will ensure that the funds are allocated as per the wishes in the Will.

Paying in a legacy donation

Please contact our Legacy Team at giftsinwills@wwt.org.uk to notify them of the gift in Will and a member of the team will be on hand to assist.

It would be helpful if you could include the following:

  • The name of the deceased
  • A copy of the Will
  • Their date of death
  • Their last address
  • The Executor’s name and address
  • Any information of the reason for the legacy

Please note that there may be variations of our name The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, including WWT and individual centre names (E.g. Slimbridge Centre, London Wetland Centre). If you have any uncertainty around whether or not we are the stated charity, our registered charity number will identify us immediately.

Paying a legacy donation by cheque

Please make all cheques payable to The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and mark all correspondence for the attention of The Legacy Team. Please send all cheques to our Centre in Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, via the address below:
