We're so proud to have won the highly coveted Gold Award for Large Visitor Attraction of the Year.
WWT Slimbridge are delighted to have been awarded Gold for 'Large Visitor Attraction of the Year', as well as Silver for 'Accessible & Inclusive Tourism' in the Bristol, Bath & Somerset Tourism Awards.
The awards recognise that WWT Slimbridge provides a truly memorable visitor experience for everyone - particularly those with accessibility requirements. We have worked extremely hard on improving accessibility over the last few years, opening a Changing Places facility, producing an Accessibility Guide and offering SEND-friendly sensory backpacks.

As winners, WWT Slimbridge may now be considered to represent Bristol, Bath and Somerset in the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2025/26, giving the site the chance to gain national recognition. Each accolade received is a huge honour, and the constructive feedback received from judges is vital for us to continue to fulfil our founder Sir Peter Scott's vision of connecting people with nature, and aim for our wetlands and wildlife to be accessible to everyone.

Gary Haseley-Nejrup, General Manager at WWT Slimbridge said:
