Tranquil birding
Holden Tower
Still a flock of 250 plus Curlew feeding in the pools and among the grass on the Dumbles. Also 30 juvenile Black-tailed Godwit, a Whimbrel, 5 Snipe, 3 Ruff, 3 Redshank and a Greenshank in the saltmarsh puddles. All viewable with a scope from the tower. A small number of Yellow Wagtail also present among the cattle. In the bushes only Chiffchaff and Blackcap noted.
Robbie Garnett Hide
Teal 60, Soveler 12 and 5 Green Sandpiper. A Cetti's Warbler and 2 Reed Warbler also.
Zeiss Hide
Long-billed Dowitcher still among 188 Black-tailed Godwit (25 juveniles), 2 Red Knot, 22 Snipe, Teal 450 and a Water Rail calling. A Coal Tit is showing and calling in the wood, a scarce bird here.
