Artist Sally Newton features in the gallery this May & June

Sally Newton is an artist and ceramist, as well as a keen birder and nature enthusiast. Sally is delighted to be exhibiting at WWT Welney this spring.

Sally works in watercolour, oil paint, pencil and print, and all of her subjects are taken from life. Many of the works in the collection originated at Welney, and draw on unique moments in nature that Sally has experienced herself. Sally’s style reflects the often distant and imperfect sightings of her subjects and celebrates their wildness.

Sally is a graduate of the Cambridge School of Art and holds a B.A. (Hons) in Fine Art (Printmaking). Sally’s work can also be seen during Oxfordshire Artweeks and at the prestigious Clay Loft in Stroud, where she is a member, during their May 2018 exhibtion.
