All hides except Gill's Lookout are accessible to everyone today, including with mobility scooters. Water levels are continuing to drop. Lady Fen trails are now closed until after breeding season, but great views from cafe veranda. All roads including A1101 Welney Wash Road are open.

Local road closure due to resurfacing works

There are resurfacing works taking place in Welney village this week, Mon 22 – Fri 26 January. A road diversion will be in place from A1101 taking the A1122 and A10 route via Downham Market. If you are travelling from March or Chatteris it appears you can still get through via Welney village. But if you are travelling from Wisbech, or via Outwell and Upwell you will need to take the diversion.
