New art gallery
Photography artist, Tony Mills, will be displaying his work in the gallery at WWT Welney throughout July & August. A selection of mounted and framed pictures, as well as greetings cards will be available to purchase.
Tony's work portrays action, movement, behaviour and texture in his natural subject matters:
'I like to use an extra dimension in my 2D work, often Time, as in depicting the flight action of birds through photomontaging or using slow shutter speeds'.
The image of a swan in flight was taken at WWT Welney after sunset as the swans fly in to roost during the winter. He used a slow shutter speed to get the feel of action and movement.
The image of the barn owl was also taken at dusk in winter, whilst the bird was hunting over reedbed in Cambridgeshire. These are both images from Tony's Nature in Action series.
