All hides except Gill's Lookout are accessible to everyone today, including with mobility scooters. Water levels are continuing to drop. Lady Fen trails are now closed until after breeding season, but great views from cafe veranda. All roads including A1101 Welney Wash Road are open.

Cranes and other highlights

Cranes and visitor centre at WelneyCrane - 2 feeding, bugling and being mobbed by lapwing on Lady Fen.  Great views from the centre.  They took off shortly after heading over the back to the reserve.

Lapwing and chicks - several across Lady Fen (some look as if they are about to fledge)

Avocet (with chicks at Friends hide)

Shoveler & ducklings - several across Lady Fen

Swallow with chicks in North Wing hide (the TV screens in the centre entrance and inside the main hide are showing live footage of this nest)
House martins can be viewed on the second TV screen in the main hide and from the windows
