Last night on the Bewick's flight in event over 3000 swans came in to roost on the washes in front of the Lyle hide. They are coming in to roost between 4-5pm each evening so it is worth taking a walk to Lyle hide in the evenings, after the 3.30pm swan feed to witness this spectacle. Visitors can take a torch with them as the paths on the reserve are not lit at night.
