All hides except Gill's Lookout are accessible to everyone today, including with mobility scooters. Water levels are continuing to drop. Lady Fen trails are now closed until after breeding season, but great views from cafe veranda. All roads including A1101 Welney Wash Road are open.

Quite a few swans at the 6.30pm feed last night coming up onto the walkway that we feed off meant that there were some interesting ringed swans to be seen.  The rings below are the typical yellow plastic rings (Darvic rings) with black digits unless otherwise stated. 

K6P and K6J - both male whoopers ringed as adults here at Welney in February 2008.  They have been seen on the potatoes at the side of the lagoon a few times now but are obviously getting a bit more bold. 

L6Z - male, also ringed at Welney in the winter of 2008/09

F3F - male whooper ringed in Iceland in 2006, has been at some of the feeds during the day as well. 

BHE (red ring/white code) - female ringed at WWT Caerlaverock last winter. 

FZ6 - named Wimble, female ringed in Iceland in 2000, at least 12 years old and she was present at the morning feed today.
