Canoe Safari

The canoe safari has now closed for the season and will reopen in spring 2024.

Canoe Safari is weather dependent – we would recommend checking at admissions on arrival to see if the Canoe Safari is running that day to avoid disappointment.

Canoes

Grab a paddle and spot wildlife from the water on our fun, kilometre long, Canoe Safari trail. Sit back and relax as you look out for wildlife along the way such as dragon flies, warblers, ducks and maybe even water voles if you’re really lucky!

Canoes are priced at £10 per boat and can seat up to three people.

The canoes are suitable for children aged 3+, but this is subject to conditions.

Each canoe hired must be accompanied by at least 1 adult (18+).

Coracles

Test your skills to the limit as you try to paddle in a coracle. The ancient one-man boats are an important part of the heritage of the River Severn. The lightweight circular boats are notoriously unstable so can leave you in a bit of a spin!

Coracles are priced at £10 per boat.

All coracle hirers must be over 18 years of age.

Open daily April to September and weekends in October and Half Term: 11am - 4pm (last hire 3pm).

Canoe and coracle hirers are allotted 1 hour on the water.

The trail is closed during very cold, wet or windy weather.

Please note: Payment is by card only at the Canoe Hut or by cash at the Canoe Kiosk or shop. Note that safaris are weather dependent so cannot be booked in advance - only on the day of your visit. Canoes are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please check on arrival at admissions if they are running that day.

Schools are not permitted to undertake the canoe safari experience due to supervision ratios.
