Writing Workshop

Celebrate our Words for Wetlands programme this year with a new writing workshop led by multi award-winning novelist, mentor and university lecturer, Bryony Pearce.

Date: Saturday 8 June

Time: 10.30am-12 noon or 1-2.30pm

Have you ever seen a landscape that stops you in your tracks, and searched for a way to describe what you are seeing and feeling?

Have you ever read a piece of descriptive writing and thought, I wish I could put words together like that?

Bryony will be joining us in March to teach classes on describing and creating landscapes. Bryony is the bestselling author of thrillers Girl on the Platform and Little Rumours, as well as novels for young adults, including Savage Island, Raising Hell, Phoenix Rising and Angel’s Fury. She lives in the Forest of Dean and her novels have a real sense of place.

She will be teaching you how to look at the landscape in different ways, how to pick the right words, how to write description like the professionals and why Stephen King hates adjectives so much.

You will also have the chance to chat. Honestly, she’ll chat until your ear falls off if you let her!

This workshop is suitable for adults.

Cost: Non members: £40 per person, includes admission. WWT members: £24

Meeting point: Art Hub
